simple busybox with a few tools sprinked in. creates a 2MB jffs2 writable partition, overlays it ontop of the read-only partition, and you can change any file! i suggest you change root's password, it is “password” i tried to incorporate a failsafe in case you mess up your configuration and no longer can access the box, and don't have a serial cable. this is the best i came up with:

plug laptop into WAN(internet) port of router. set IP of PC to 10.3.0.2, run “nc -l 666” or anything that'll listen on port 666. now turn on the router. the router will ping 10.3.0.2:666 and then runs dropbear, on 10.3.0.1 – without the jffs overlay so the password will be “password” again. hope this helps. :)
