This page was a mess of nonsense. Let's get to the real deal. What needs fixed.

Somewhat in order:

1. [DONE] lzma-loader: rather slow. u-boot loads entire image to RAM, but I decompress from flash. let's do RAM→RAM. just need to move my buffer…
2. export our GPIO pins using gpiolib instead of /proc/adm8668/buttons
3. ethernet work: switch driver. vlans. pass MAC address from boot code to ethernet driver, rather than hardcode FLASH address of said MAC address into driver (say what!?) [its in u-boot environment and BSP_CFG_AREA…]
4. rt2x00/rt61 wifi driver performance! uses up all of the CPU.

I'd probably recommend this build due to better wifi performance, but I've not ran any tests to compare the two (just noticed cpu usage), and I don't even have the sources on my machine since I reformatted.

1. Wireless needs configured via /etc/config/wireless. Just need scripts to glue together rt61ap.dat with their configuration scheme.
